So what is going on with servers?
As it stands NXC have a server and SA have a server.
There was talk of changing both of those servers to Shadownet, this imo, would mean that SN members donate money to the hosts in order to help keep the servers running and in return the server name should display Shadownet and key members should be granted mod status (after approval and proof of cometence to the server host)
Someone let me know what is going on pls - what servers do people want? who can donate? etc.

Personally that's what I would like to see - the server would still be yours and you would own it, but it would be Shadownet server instead of SA, you would setup trusted members as mods on it and in return you would receive donations from SN members. It would just make it officially the place for members of the clan to go, knowing that other members will be online and we don't have to worry about n00bs/hackers Hopefully NXC will do the same with their server and if things run smoothly we can look at getting a third server up/upgrading one of the existing servers. If everyone is happy with these ideas, then we can make it official and get all the server costs listed here and also a list of people around the world to accept postal donations. Any donations received through SN would then be dished out to the server hosts on a monthly basis. On the subject of SN, things are looking good - Mirage, KobraKeen and myself have been doing a lot of work to get things running and it looks as though we will be expanding to other games as well. I hope we can continue to do work to improve the alliance and make it work for everyone - in essence we need everyone to know each other and play together!

I think having servers under the Shadownet name is a great idea Pirate, and i would definitely donate to see it happen. This way, all clans could have servers, which would make a great place for us to all just play together.

OK, well it seems everyone I have spoken to is in agreement over this - this is how I see it working. Shadownet1: Public AOW, run by [SA] - hopefully upgraded to 24-30 players. Shadownet2: Public AOW, run by NXC - 16 player. This server can be used for special events ie: SN vs All, sniper, inf only weekends. Shadownet3: Private fw/cw, run by [PA] - 10 player. Used for cw/fw/tryouts - I am hoping to get this up soon, the large server can be passworded for large mixed practices/funwars. If everyone is happy with this setup please can you: 1. Change the server host name to Shadownet# (easy to find by sorting by host name) 2. Change the server title to "Shadownet AOW" (host clan may add their tags also if they wish) 3. Add mods as agreed in seperate topic: shadownetforum.proboards76.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=server&thread=11545967384. Post server cost details in seperate topic along with paypal address for donations: shadownetforum.proboards76.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=server&thread=11545969885. Find clan members willing to donate/accept postal donations on behalf of SN 6. I will then setup donation links for individual server and a general SN fund for when times are short. Responses/Action required on this - please ensure that your members read this and have an opportunity to cast their opinion. To the future of Shadownet!
